Maggie sits in trees at Richmond North Public
School &; swoops on hat wearing walkers &; anyone on a bike, helmet or not. This bird smashes it's beak into my helmet &; I wonder every time how it's not hurting itself.
Across the road from the caravan park near the parking area.
Got me on the helmet twice.
No damage to head or helmet.
Trees here are full of magpies
Very protective butcher bird has taken to swooping rides, both descending down to Cotter and climbing back up to Stromlo. Chased me for a good 200m. Makes noise, but no contact
While walking around the point the magpie continually swooped and followed me. I watched it for on the ground for a bit but when I continued it swooped again. The next day it happened again to me and I saw another lady get attacked that same morning. It's a very persistent aggressive bird.
I was cycling in this part of the m7 when this magpie came out of nowhere and swooped me. It surprised me so I fell off my bike and landed on my right. Possibly fractured my wrist. I ride on this part of the m7 all the time and never seen magpies until this morning!
2 Magpies live around the Mandurah train station. Some days they are more aggressive than others and will swoop multiple times. I have been swooped 2 out of 4 times riding to the train station since they live in the surrounding trees.
