Walking with toddler on push trike from local playground. Magpie swooped out of nowhere and smacked into my head. Ran home with blood dripping from the back of my head. Similar attack last year by 3 birds in the same area.
I'm being swooped multiple times on a weekly basis. The magpie is extremely aggressive. It's nest is directly opposite my work tasks and direction of walking path. Not yet injured because I bought an arborists helmet kit, but my nerves are highly stressed
Walking on the south side of the road. 3 magpies swooped. Gently though and with less force than usual for this group. As I waited for the bus around the corner I saw main magpie sitting on the power lines watching up and down Belmont Road
I was walking across the school oval when a magpie aggressively attacked me repeatedly. I was able to run into a nearby bike shed. The very next 5 days the magpie still ataccked me. I soon Realize magpies are a big problem in Mansfield.
