Magpie attack on Walker - Cooyong St, Canberra ACT 2601
I've just entered Glebe Park from Cooyong Street when a magpie swooped from my left side and hit me square on left side of nose and cheek resulting to bleeding. It felt like someone punched me on the face. Walked quickly back to Cooyong Street. First time a magpie hit me. I was swooped years before but there was no contact.

Magpie attack on Cyclist - 30 Royston Rd, Halls Gap VIC 3381
Had organised to visit my Dad who lives in Halls Gap and brought my bike. Went for a ride on the bike path toward the town village, but as I got past Royston Road, I was swooped without warning by a magpie that made no sound at all as it hit me. (I had originally kept an eye and ear out for magpies as I had been recently attacked near where I live in Meadow Heights) I wasn't injured, as it seemingly slapped the right side of my face with its wings. I was very startled, shocked and cried out in surprise. Sadly the rest of my ride was tainted as I spent it cautiously and nervously looking out for a repeat swooping for any other magpies in the area.

Magpie attack on Cyclist - Ainslie Flats, 16 Hayley St, Ainslie ACT 2602
This magpie's presence has already been recorded here. I rode past (early) the previous day and didn't see him but today he more than made up for it. Very aggressive and lingered clawing at my helmet for some time - not easy to ride down the street with a magpie wing in your eye! Only two cars around but this can be a busy little road - might be best to find another route for the next few weeks :-)

Magpie attack on Cyclist - 29 Captain Cook Dr, Kurnell NSW 2231
Swooped whilst cycling up Cape Solander Drive into the National Park, just next to where the old ticket gates were. Don’t think it was a magpie, but didn’t get a look at it as was swooped from behind

Magpie attack on Cyclist - 2 Crescent Rd, Kalamunda WA 6076
On my mountain bike, not too far from the Jorgensen Park carpark. The critter swooped 3 times from behind, no contact made. What a time to be alive. Would ride past again for the thrill.
