Three of four swoops whilst crossing the Common where it intersects with Ernest Jones Dve. Magpie followed my son and I for about half a minute and came very close to hitting us. Fairly aggressive bird, be careful!
Not 100% sure if I was on Watson or Braye at the time...after being swooped twice I wasn't going to look at roadsigns. Head still sore with a small laceration.
Swooped after I came out of the underpass, quite persistent as I headed up the cyclepath into Ngunnawal. Made contact a couple of times but not injury, hit quite hard though.
This is the 5th year in a row that I have been swooped. It generally happens near the childrens play area. The magpie will continue to bully you for a while until you are well away from the area. It will then watch you from a distance whilst sitting on the light poles. It seems as though it picks its targets randomly.
got swooped 3 times while walking onto the Dawson park. My back head was pecked 2 times, I felt tingle until evening.
My son almost got swooped too, luckily I managed to swish it away (it swooped me after :( )
we stayed in the park for 5 minutes and decided to run off because it came to a point, it could injured my son.
