trying to feed the friendly emu's at a nature park, out of nowhere a flock of maggies came down and swooped my friend. she ran off to safety, leaving me in the firing line of the horrible beasts. got scratches all over my shoulders. poor emus just wanted some bread, instead they got a show of two girls screaming and batting away the fucking insane birds that curse our land.
Magpie came from the tree above and smashed my eyeball. Just caught me and my eye is all red now.
I was simply standing under the tree with no intention of harm, worst experience of my life at the moment.
Decided to have a shower straight away to clean my eye out but I'm not sure if I am still at risk? Do I need eye drops?

2nd swoop in two weeks at junction of St Kilda Road/Union St beside My Goodness Pizza. On both occasions I was pecked just below the eye (drew blood) by a bird swooping in from the side.
I was walking slowly towards the tram stop when the magpie swooped and attacked my eyes , it all happened so fast! I got a few scratches with blood oozing out. My roommate was attacked in the same way and was injured too, she got attacked a day before me , at the same spot. Just beside the subway located at the junction between union street and queen st Kilda road.
