This is the second time this magpie has swooped me heading west on the cycling path. The magpie swooped me twice in this session and made the classic Clack sound as it attempted to hit my helmet.
I walked after the first attack and but it went for me again shortly after.
I dont believe this bird attacks heading east on the bike lane(canberra avenue)
Very late in the season to start, you would think! Anyway, he didn't get all that close. One swoop, clacking the beak as he went. I expect things will heat up in the coming week.
The angry magpie of Garran Rd strikes again, outside the gates of University House. It contacted with my helmet, just the once before I raced up into the carpark of University House to avoid the rest of its territory.
Swooped while cycling to Kambah Pool by tenacious magpie. Chased for about 300m. Repeated contact to helmet. Attempted walking on the way back but swooped anyway. Avoid area if possible
Swooped several times, even though i got off my bike and looked directly at it, it still kept chasing me until i found two nice old men who were nice enough to walk with me for a while so that it would stop
First attack was a blow to the helmet. Second attack was upward from ground level. This caused me to crash the bike, with slight injury to leg. Since this was right next to the Busy Kings Avenue traffic, this Magpie could cause real issues.
