This one a little more daring than most. Got attacked from behind, I stopped and looked at it, and it went for me again head on. Did the Mexican stand off after that for about 2 minutes. I walked then rode away.
One magpie swooped from behind while I was walking. I turned around in time because of the noise and wind, and looked at him, so he turned away. He then made two more attempts, fast and close, once I turned my head. Eventually I had to walk backwards with eyes on him until I left his territory. With nothing covering my head and not expecting swooping magpie on this familiar trail, imagine if I were listening music, I could have been seriously injured.
Swooped once, but it must have spotted me late, because it never got close.
Same bird presumably swooped twice on the way back at slightly different location (green area opposite on map)
