Was aware of this bird, I took my chances and it came straight for me, from a distance but didn’t make contact. It seemed more aggressive than normal though. I found a long bit of bark off a tree to protect myself. This bird hates cyclists doesn’t swoop walkers. I feed this bird and it still swoops me, I’ve worn my helmet and sunnies feeding it and it still swoops - there goes that theory
Swooped and struck on neck by Grey Butcherbird on Tennyson Creek bushwalk, a few minutes walk from the River Road West entrance. Very aggressive couple, possibly nesting. Didn’t stick around to find out.
Magpie swooped cyclist, not aggressive but seems to favour cyclists with red / black on their helmets. I've seen it a fair few times, will swoop once, then stay in nearby tree - I haven't seen it attack again while you walk / cycle away.
Magpie was on road, so I crossed to avoid it. It flew next to me then flew up to the tree and swooped 3 times following me as I walked up Renwick St. I was attacked here 2 years ago.
I was running along the path towatda Ramsgate when a single magpie attacked me. Swooped from my left and attacked me resulting in a cut and blood near my left eye. Luckily i had Running glasses on so unsure if it was going for my glasses or my eye.
