The same aggressive magpie is back on the attack this year. He is the most aggressive magpie I've ever seen and I think some of his offspring are now ";protecting"; other parts of the park. The attacks go for a long distance and he goes after skin (ears, face, neck) rather than just hitting your helmet.
Swooped multiple times while cycling along Fergus St on my attempt to find an alternative route from Elrose St. Might be the same maggie as this one followed me all the way up the street for about 300m too.
I was riding on Gemvale road toward the Lights to Eden View Drive and out of the blue as i just past King Christian Collage this very aggressive mag pie attacked me knocking me off my bike falling over my handle bars as i slammed on my breaks as i got such a fright onto the road. I was lucky no cars where coming.
I was walking along Lutwyche Road and the Magpie swooped from behind and pecked my temple. Drew blood. I'm off for a tetanus booster tomorrow. Im not worried about the wound. Just infection.
Was walking to work and was swooped by one in front of the construction site present there. Hit me in the back of my head and it went and sat on those make shift walls in front of the site. Luckily stopped with that and even when i looked back, it still stayed there and didn't come behind me. got a cut behind my head and feeling a bit concussed.
First one in 9 years.
