Moving slowly on bicycle, and 3-4 swoops, didn't look just kept going. Of course had to go up hill so I was exposed for longer...need to get fitter and faster!
What started out as a casual morning ride around St. Lucia turned out to be one of the most traumatic experiences in the eight years since I moved to this fine country! There I was travelling westbound on Ryans Road when out of no where I was struck in the left eye by a swooping sky zebra! The sound of its beak clashing next to my ears is a sound that I will struggle to remove from my memory but not as difficult as the stains left in the bottom favorite Lycra riding suit. Cheers D
I forgot to avoid this route this morning and was attacked again. I saw both birds safeguarding their nest, one was standing one the electric line and the other was standing on the tree. The one on the tree alarmed and swooped.
Attacked by a magpie as I walked my bike up the hill. Swooped once and hung around until I left the area. Even though there were people walking on the opposite side and two people were standing on the side of the road talking, the Magpie decided I was his victim for that afternoon.
