I was riding my cruiser down the foot path just before the corner of Sturt Street and Denham when I got attacked by a magpie twice. It kept going for my yellow scrunchy. Not knowing this was even a thing, I panicked at rode into a wall when attempting to stop it. I grazed my legs and hurt the palm of my hand from the impact. Thanks to a friend of mine for directing me to this site, I now know what NOT to do in the incident of an attack.
THIRD PARTY REPORT: Witnessed swooping of woman walking down road, she was swooped three times, the bird made contact with her head on the second swoop. I do not know whether she was injured.
Magpie swooping multiple times from front and back of small preschool child. Was trying to aim to attack face.
The Same Magpie then decided to try to swoop the preschoolers baby brother nearby.
Magpie then flies to nearby tree far away from where it was before the swooping and watches child who was in the playground area
Whilst running along Christine Ave., I was attacked 4 or 5 times when heading East and then again 2 or 3 times when heading back West on the other side of the road, so I'm assuming it was the same bird. Only a minor scratch near my ear this time.
