A very aggressive magpie swooped me at least 6 times as I walked along the footpath next to the Elizabeth Park primary school oval. It followed me around the corner onto Turner Rd continuing to swoop me.
I was walking towards my car with my 5 year old son when the magpie swooped near my left ear. I put my son on his car seat and get out from the car and from the second time it swooped again. So I went hurriedly inside the car. After some minutes while waiting for my husband I remember some stuff I forgot at home. So I went out again just 2 stepped away from car. It swooped and finally it struck me in the head It left me a small open wound.
A rather aggressive magpie lark that i've seen swooping and attacking cyclists going both ways down Hartley Road. Swooped and scratched my left ear multiple times between hartley road and the other end of gaskin. Suspected nest nearby on Hartley road, or the lark is a psychopath....
Magpie swooped very close snapping at my ears. I yelled and it flew off. I then thought it was over when I felt like I was punched hard on the back of my helmet when he came back for a last shot. That as it then. Thankfully stayed on the bike and helmet wasn't damaged.
I was walking along the bike trail when a magpie started swooping continuously and following me up to halfway across the trail. Even as i exited the trail and walked on the side of the road it still followed me upto the traffic lights.
