This Maggie on the Tylden - Kyneton Rd is a torpedo, not a bomber. Cycling from Kyneton to Woodend, he whacked me on the side of my head just coming up to the milk bar. I made for a tree and he stopped. But coming back, I saw him and he whacked me on the face. He does horizontal bombs, and they hurt.
Riding under a stand of tall trees as I was heading south on the cycle track just before the Sandringham Yacht Club driveway, I heard a loud squawking noise behind me and felt pecking on my helmet just above my left ear. The bird nicked my ear with its beak, drawing a small spot of blood. I waved my left arm and shouted loudly - thankfully it flew away immediately. The track was fairly straight and I kept full control of my bike, not falling off.
Swooped twice whilst riding a bike down Princes Hwy (inbound). First time the magpie swooped just over my head and the second time it swooped then pecked (or clawed) my helmet, resulting in me losing balance, falling off the bike and causing the following injuries: Grazed nose, mouth, chin, chest & knees as well as a broken finger.
