Walking up Spring Rd to Kalamunda village swooped multiple times at bend top of hill and 30 minutes later again swooped multiple times walking back down Spring Rd. Magpie nest close to top of hill ?
Either side of the Boulevard there are swooping magpies. Got me 3 times in the head while running. Undeterred by waving arms and branches and kept coming. So aggressive. Each time I run here they try to peck me now.
Saw a man with a long lens camera photographing a swooping magpie on the northern side of Hepburn Avenue, just before the Glengarry Drive roundabout. It was hovering and flapping around him. He had gotten off his bike. Didn't appear to be injured and since he had the camera I'm guessing it wasn't the first time he'd encountered it!
Swooped by a persistent magpie that came out of st joesephs nun convent as I walked from the corner of king Edward street and York street. It chased me all the way up York street till I got into st Columbas school grounds. It managed to nip my finger along the way but that was probably because my arms were flapping about in the air trying to shoo it away as I ran up the street screaming.
Two magpies on the corner of Joondalup Drive and Riverside Drive. One swooped and gave up but the second followed me for about half a kilometre south along Joondalup Drive. It kept going at my left ear. In the end I had to stop. It gave up when I faced it but by then the damage was done. Left ear is a bit ripped up.
