Swooped twice by a magpie as I entered Coppin Street from Brady Street. It did not make contact with me, and did not seem to follow me very far. I suspect it was the same magpie who I saw swoop two people (not very aggressively, but definitely trying to warn them off) in Dame Nellie Melba Park at the end of August, part of a pair of magpies who seem to nest next to the park each Spring.
Swooped by magpie twice. Had cable ties on helmet and it only made a kind of "hover attack".
Magpie seems to attack riders wearing red - I have ridden past this spot many times this season and not been swooped but I was wearing red this time.
Walking with my baby in his pram (bassinet style so we may have seemed like a big target). Magpie swooped in from the front over about forty metres (never seen them do that before) the once he was behind us would swoop in close and click (but no contact), rest on a street light then go again. I ran as I'm terrified of birds generally and especially with my baby there! Was wearing my GPS watch so I know the bird was chasing us for about five hundred metres, never seen them do that, either!
