I was riding my bicycle on Brewer road in Bentleigh, when a magpie swooped me twice, it kept persisting to peckattack at my face (as I had a helmet on). I received three wounds to my face, near my left eye to which blood started to pour down. I was very scared and went into shock and got off my bike shaking. My mum then caught up with me to comfort me and take me home to clean up the blood and apply first aid.
Not an attack as such but more of a heads up that there are also magpies residing in the trees at this park on the corner of Greenfields Circle and Elliot Road in Hocking. A few of my friends and I had planned to meet there for our kids to play but we started getting swooped by a couple of the magpies and decided to leave just to be safe.
We are swooped on all the time because of our big black dog, most especially at the park next to The Neutral Bay Club. The safest time to toss ball at that park is at night time.
