Magpie attack on Walker - 3-7 Second Ave, Sandgate QLD 4017
Just walking with my two children across the road from the Library back top the main drag of Sandgate. Unprovoked a magpie attacked me adjacent from the Bus Stop. A lot of people were alighting from and getting on the bus however I was not one of them. Bird hit my ear and has drawn blood. I'm really pissed as I was minding my own business and nor running, cycling or provoking it in any way. Really ruined my morning. Wretched things need to be culled, numbers must be increasing??!! I saw no one else attacked during my short stay there.

Magpie attack on Cyclist - 20-24 Rokeby Terrace, Taringa QLD 4068
Butcher bird along Rokeby terrace gets me every time on my commute going both ways. Swoops several times and makes a loud call. Very frightening and annoying - happens every year around this time for several weeks.

Magpie attack on Cyclist - 99 Olinda-Monbulk Rd, Olinda VIC 3788
The appears to be a magpie chick that has been copying its elders. It's small and not got its full black and white uniform yet. It'll come down beside you and make a loud enough snap with its beak to give you a fright. It hasn't made contact with my head yet but is clearly one to watch in the future as its started young.

Magpie attack on Cyclist - 87 Cook Ave, Hillarys WA 6025
My 7 year old daughter and I decided to ride to school. Were on the pathway on Cook Avenue heading towards the roundabout near Endeavour Road and Cook Ave. We passed a house with huge trees out the front. A magpie flew down and hit me in the head. It swooped hitting me 3 or 4 times. I shouted for my daughter to get off her bike and to get her head down. We headed back west up Cook Ave and crossed the road and took another route to school (St Marks Anglican).

Magpie attack on Cyclist - 118 Emu Bank, Belconnen ACT 2617
Quite an agro currawong! Swooped me going in and coming home from work on my bike. Even when I got off to walk! Suggest you cross the street to avoid it! It came for me several times! I also saw it try to go another unsuspecting cyclist! Its definitely a currawong too. I've never witnessed this before as I always thought people got currawongs and magpies confused. Now i know either will swoop. Crickey!
