Heading south on Cockle St toward Black Mountain School. Persistent swooping and close follow for 100-150m. A number of strikes to the helmet, and snapping beak. A cranky one! No injury or contact other than helmet.
This guy appears have only started swooping (or just me) in the last few days. No swooping last week on the same route.
My wife was standing by our driveway when she was attacked. My 5yr old daughter was screaming "mum is bleeding!!". Large amount of blood from a small wound just above right eye but luckily no stitches required.
Magpie made two passes, on the second pass its claws grazed my left shoulderblade
10 metres further along, a Noisy Miner made two passes, whacking my helmet on the first approach.
I had just gotten swooped on the other side of the train line so I went over on this side and got attacked again! I don't even know if it was the same one! Dodgy Moonee Ponds. Came up from behind me btw
A particularly vicious magpie inhabits this park! I climbed the hill and he kept swooping me most of the way, then swooped me on the way down, and I also saw him swoop another cyclist. The park does have warning signs so at least I'd been expecting it.
