On bike, same magpie that got me before, same spot - swooping down a couple times, I got off bike and walked and tried to shoosh away. Finally left me alone when I got far enough.
Attacked my ears from behind. I stopped and picked up a stick. I waved the stick over my helmet until I got to Argyle Park Rd. It kept swooping as I would have blindly hit it about 3 times.
Magpie will attack cyclists from southern edge of park. Attacked my daughter while we were riding our bikes across park. Had to take long detour through bush to avoid further attack. Bird showed no interest in people that were walking.
I decided to go for a walk at approximately 3pm and had just cross the corner of Noga Ave and Rachelle Rd.
Out of nowhere I was struck at the back of the head so violently. To my bewilderment I looked up and saw the Magpie that had struck me. My head began aching and I placed my hand on where I was struck and was bleeding.
My head is still aching from being swooped.
Magpie started attack just south of Redfern bridge over path and ceased just south of Baffin St bridge over path. Swooped repeatedly at least six times. Seems to target cyclists only, not responsive to food.
Swooped from Behind twice whilst cycling, no actual contact this time. He followed me, possibly considering a third strike, but I had picked up the pace by this point, and I guess I was far enough away to satisfy him.
