This aggressive magpie has a nasty new trick. In the past it has struggled to make contact with cyclists riding full bore uphill after the fast descent from the Bowls Club. Today it landed on the left side of my helmet with its claws in the vents and repeatedly pecked my helmet. Despite my attempts to dislodge it, it clamped itself to my helmet until after the Hume St intersection, where its territory ends. I've been attacked by many magpies, but this behaviour is new to me. Although I wasn't injured, it was unnerving to be riding fast up the hill out of the saddle with a magpie stuck to my head and attacking. The aggression surprised me because this magpie seemed to be done with its terrorist attacks for the season.
