Was swooped twice this morning at a known magpie hotspot in St. Lucia, Brisbane, but the zipties on my helmet prevented it from making contact.
I have footage from the GoPro on my helmet, if there\'s somewhere I can post it.

And for some reason that posted twice. How do I remove one?

Hi Editor, apologies for the late reply, I've been OS for a couple of weeks.
Hard to tell exactly, without testing each measure individually in a known hotspot, such as St Lucia, and it may be too late now for this year's swooping season.
The centre flashing light on its own didn't deter one in Bulimba, but the St Lucia Swooper veered off without making contact after I fitted the side lights, so they may have helped.
The zipties defo prevented it from making contact with me (it did clip my helmet though), especially the loops protecting my ears, so next year I'll keep the zipties, remove the side lights and see what happens.
