Magpie attack on Cyclist - 146A Kitchener St, Garran ACT 2605
Was on my bike on the footpath coming from the direction of the traffic lights. He gave me a warning first, by swooping towards me and landing on the power line, then squawking at me. Got off the bike and proceeded to walk backwards while he swooped me 3-4 times. He gave up before the corner of Gilmore Crescent. Can easily see the nest on top of one of the power poles.

Magpie attack on Cyclist - 8 Matina St, Narrabundah ACT 2604
Swooped several times, hit helmet once. This very persistent bird (or a close relative!) was in exactly the same place last year and will follow cyclists for 2 or 3 blocks. It doesn't seem to attack pedestrians.

Magpie attack on Walker - 53 Companion Cres, Flynn ACT 2615
A magpie attacked us (two walking adults and three small children on bikes) before the underpass, then continued to swoop us nearly all the way to the playground, Fort Flynn. Later a small child was swooped only a short distance from the playground. The magpie was very persistent.
