One very persistent magpie, who every year consistently between August and Late October will attack with a full body blow to the cyclist's helmet. Can knock the glasses from your face and steer you into the gutter. The only way to deter him is to constantly turn and watch him. This location is a shared road.
Swooping magpie who I think is nesting in the trees over the cammeray golf course entry. I have taken to going down the one way street up by tennis courts instead and have avoided any future attacks.
Gipps Road Greystanes magpie (just after viaduct) swoops, but doesn't do anything more than that so far.
Going fast makes no difference, he is very quick. Watch out for brown-snakes too, saw one on the same stretch recently.
Pedalling up the hill, have been swooped but this time he went for my ear and drew blood. Smaller maggie, has been getting people going up this road. I'm too fast going down it for him to swoop.
This is a regular one that gets everyone who goes past McGraths Hill just before McDonalds.
Turn left on the previous turning before the lights and go around him on to the elevated bypass.
There is a road sign warning of it too.
