Witnessed Elderly woman get swooped twice on the northern side of Alice Street near the intersection with Alfred Street. Not injured. This is the third September straight that a magpie has nested here.
Do not attempt to use the island at the middle of the intersection of Alice and Alfred Street to cross as you will be swooped. Walk on the eastern side of Alfred street if walking down that street.
Whilst waiting at the shuttle bus stop (popular with Uni students at campus east) I was attacked by a Magpie. It left a gash in the side of my head and I bled profusely requiring treatment, although no stitches.
Walking home from shopping. Mapgies live right on the walking path from the supermarket - impossible to avoid them. I did not get hurt and managed to fend off the bird which went on attacking the window of a parking car instead..Walk on the building construction side of the road instead..
