Magpie attack on Cyclist - Little Dock Street, South Brisbane QLD 4101
I was struck on the helmet 3 times, it also got my ear, but no blood. I was attacked repeatedly here last year. At this spot I normally ride in the street rather than on the bike path, and last year found that it would not attack if I switched and rode in the path.

Magpie attack on Cyclist - Cooper Road, Saint Lucia QLD 4067
A crazy magpie attacked me while cycling to my Uni last year in 2014. The bird was very aggressive and did not like my face it looked. I thought it will not repeat the attacks again and continued cycling for next days. Then it got very angry and attacked me several times till I got down off my bicycle and removed my helmet. Even then, it followed me till I go away from its area by staring at it all the time so that it can not attack from the backside which they are notorious of doing. I changed my route to Uni and took an entirely different route which was approximately 1 km away from the previous route. I was happy for few days but not for many days. It attacked me on the alternative route as well. It used to come close and clap its feathers so hard and create huge echo proximity to my ear so that I can lose my balance and one day I was about to fall. The attacks continued daily then, irrespective of the route for 1 month. Finally, I decided to stop cycling to my Uni. I chose to walk holding a protective umbrella even when there is no sunlight/rain while people used to look at me. Felt embarrassed but, I did not have any choice. I did not do anything to that bird or its nest or I do not even know that crazy bird. An Australian government should take some action against this little attacker and save people from its terror.
