Was sitting in on the balcony with my partner when all of a sudden flying in fast were 3 magpies that swooped us.. weren't injured we just went inside but then the 3 magpies stayed on the balcony staring at my partner and i and even one of the magpie was standing on the outside table. Wish i could upload photos to show people.
Magpie swooped down from a large elm tree on St Kilda Rd as I was walking along footpath towards the city, outside of Wesley College Junior Campus and pecked hard at the inner corner of my left lower eyelid with its beak closed. It has left a red mark and still sore to touch late tonight. It just missed my eye by mm so very lucky. I was wearing a black sleeveless top with not hat and carrying nothing in my hands. Gave me such a fright!
Got swooped crossing the road. The bugger got me on my face.
I've been swooped around this spot twice this year (but that was back in August) and a couple times over the last couple of years. This magpie is a super aggressive magpie &; goes for anyone.
He usually swoops from late August - early October. I haven't seen him for a few weeks, so it was weird that I was attacked late November.
I've made a few requests to the council to have him removed as he is super aggressive and goes for everyone. Unfortunately they were no help :(
Got swooped from the side into my left eye just before crossing Union Street walking up St Kilda Rd towards the city. Scratch to the eyeball, pain like I've never felt before.
I was walking home and this Magpie just flew back and forth over my head like 2 or 3 times until I started defending mysef, then it just flew into one of the nearby trees. This has happened to me twice today.
Attacked when walking to and from my mailbox. Continued flapping at my head until I came back inside the house. Three magpies have been swooping very low each time we leave the house. Going to be a very long 8 weeks at this rate.
